About
Hi my name is Jules, I’m originally from Canada and have been living in beautiful Queenstown for the last 9 years. My greatest pursuits in life are challenge myself physically, learn new skills and living a life of adventure.
Being a personal trainer, I have had many years of experience helping my clients achieve their goals, as well as accomplishing my own.
From travelling to India to become a yoga teacher, learning to Box and winning NZ amateur South Island titles and in the last few years taking on the art of Muay Thai; travelling to Thailand last year to further my learning, I am endlessly working towards achieving my goals. My next- winning a NZ Muay Thai title. I’m currently 7-0 on my fighting career and aim to keep pushing the limits.
I love the challenge and competition that the sport presents. Reaching new levels of fitness and advancing my skills, there’s always improvements to be made and that’s what keeps me working hard. Looking back to what I have achieved over the last 6 years of fighting, is confirmation and motivation that I can achieve the goals I set my heart on! Life is so much better when you do hard things, and there’s nothing that makes me feel more alive and excited, than when I step into that ring on fight day!
When training gets tough, I’ve learnt to quiet the mind, pushing that negative voice to the side and dialling into the practice of never giving up. There’s nothing to regret if I know I’ve given it everything I’ve got. In the nature of this sport, there is also the reality that my opponent is out there training hard and is going to try and knock my head off, so there really is no room for limiting myself with negative thought. What more perfect motivation!
